  • Build the Gondola restaurants to a top three ranking restaurant in Banff: Trip Advisor
  • Improve the execution and level of special events
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Manage inventory
  • Build a high functioning and positive team
  • Create the “WOW” experience for each guest visiting the gondola; follow and improve standards based on guest needs and wants, on the spot guest service resolution
  • Continuous improvement of guest and employee experiences
  • Build comprehensive training program for the team both supervisor and entry level employees
  • Manage Open Table and business volume to achieve overall guest satisfaction
  • Create proper service standards, procedures, key notes to work when greeting guests, pairing of food and wine, upselling, clearing, timing on tables
  • Scheduling, following labour guidelines from Food and Beverage Manager
  • Following controls set in place to ensure proper inventory, waste management and transfers completely accurately
  • Develop seasonal Canadian based cocktail, wine and spirit menu – developing signature products for restaurant – focusing on Industry trends
  • Ensuring food quality is following the guidelines set out by Food and Beverage Manager and Executive Chef
  • Daily reports on promos, unsatisfied guests and guest feedback
  • Work as one unit with the Back of House – one team, one food and beverage department
  • Help support all areas within the Gondola – keeping in mind ‘one guest – one experience’
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing and group services in executing of events


The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry – concentrating on upscale fine dining
  • Diploma/ Degree within Hospitality focusing in Food and Beverage an asset
  • Sommelier training an asset
  • Experience building relationships and working on teams across all levels of an organization
  • Strong experience in upscale and high volume restaurants and special event execution
  • Proven track record in maintaining a high level of organization on and off the floor
  • Effective communicator and able to implement and uphold high service standards
  • Driven to fostering a team building environment and creating positive guest experiences
  • Eye for detail and quality
  • Leadership in a positive, calm, consistent & focused manner
