  • Receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom or warehouse
  • Keep records and compile stock reports
  • Maintain all retail storerooms, coolers, walk-ins, dry storage areas and assist the Retail Supervisors in keeping the back of house areas organized
  • Transfer retail inventory to all retail locations
  • Follow all Parks Canada environmental bylaws, code of conduct, core values, policies and procedures
  • Receive and count stock items; active role in monthly inventory
  • Record all data daily, cross check all invoices and shipments to ensure all products have been delivered
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses or off site storage as instructed
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage
  • Follow Fresh In Fresh Out on all products and advise retail management on stocking levels
  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective or obsolete stock
  • Drive truck to pick up incoming stock and to deliver to the areas
  • Work with Inventory Manager by providing documentation on purchasing needs for general inventory PAR levels
  • Follow all regulations put forth by the Health and Safety Committee
  • Following the guidelines on Safe Receiving



The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract record issued by the Province of Alberta
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions
  • Punctual 
  • Organized and able to follow a systematic method 
  • Ability to have proper stock levels on shelves 
  • Effective communicator
  • Pays high attention to the details of the job
  • Able to get products to the destination safely following all food safe regulations

Work Environment

  • Contract dates are March 28th to October 22nd, 2018
  • Typically 5 days on/2 days off
  • 6 days on/1 day off during peak periods
  • Split shifts as per schedule
  • Days off may change with each schedule and depend on business level
  • Long weekends may incur schedule changes
  • Expect 35 – 44 hours per week depending on business levels
  • Polo shirts, North Face pants and indoor jacket will be issued on arrival
  • Outdoor uniform is provided when working outdoors
  • Eligible for a retention and performance bonus
