Responsibilities

  • Assists guests in fully understanding and enjoying all that the Canadian Rockies have to offer including our world-class attractions, and engaging wilderness and sightseeing tours

  • Plan and book exciting activities, attractions, transport, and tours in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, and Calgary to create remarkable and memorable experiences for our local and international guests, while achieving sales goals

  • Manage Banff Gondola guest services inquiries and concerns in-person, by phone, and online

  • Receive all guests upon arrival and inform, direct, and upsell guests to the appropriate products that suit their needs

  • Trained to perform the duties of a ticket agent for the Banff Gondola

Qualifications

  • Understanding guests' needs while helping them select the right-fit tickets/activities for their vacations
  • A high level of sales experience in tourism, or similar
  • A high level of customer service and experience in guest services, or similar
  • Attention to detail and good communication and listening skills with local and international guests and staff
  • Second language skills highly advantageous
  • Professional and friendly manner through phone and email
  • Being able to work under pressure and overcome guest objections & resolve conflict
  • Accuracy and efficiency in handling large amounts of cash ($CAD and $US) and debit/credit transactions under fast-paced and busy conditions
  • Physical demands including constant use of hands, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for long periods of time, frequent bending/twisting and working outdoors
